This large watercolour painting, titled Study in wood, was created by Ottawa artist Germaine Fortier. Fortier was a member of the Ottawa Watercolour Society. She exhibited at the society’s inaugural exhibition held at the Dominion Corinth Galleries located within the Château Laurier Hotel. The work is signed and dated.
The watercolour is in good condition but has some staining and rough edges—nothing a proper mat and frame can’t fix!
