Stunning six colour lithograph by Karel Appel produced during the 1960s student riots and civil unrests in France. The text reads ‘Dans l'action ils ont montré la source de leur beauté’ [translated to ‘In the actions they have shown the source of their beauty’]. The poster, measuring 23”x31” (58x79cm), is signed in plate. The poster shows some wear along edges; see images for details.
Copies of the lithograph can be found in a number of public and private collections including the Musée Carnavalet, Paris and the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam.
