This gorgeous oversized book makes the perfect coffee table book. The 228-page publication documents hundreds of Detroit’s abandoned building: hotels, ballrooms, theatres, schools, banks, offices and private homes (in fact, entire streetscapes). Many of which have since burned down, collapsed or been destroyed. Several of them, including the Michigan Central Station were saved and restored—pointing to the renewal and resurgence of Detroit. The Ruins of Detroit is a must-have for any book collector and archive on urbanism and architecture. The book is in excellent condition with some minor warping on three pages.
