Presented here is a beautiful drawing by Polish-born artist Henri Hayden. Hayden arrived in Paris in 1907, aged 24, and only four years later held his first solo exhibition. Never fussy or laboured, his drawings combine sophisticated linework with lyrical melancholy. Hayden's works are held in several major museum collections worldwide, including the Tate Modern in London, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
