This beautiful work is composed of three tender and lovely books of portraits. The subtle differences between the books weave a lovely narrative of memory and recollection. The work dates from 2006. The three small books come in a tan cardboard box with a vanilla band. The multiple is in mint condition; it is signed and numbered.
This work is one of Sepuya's earlier pieces. He became recognized in the early 2000s for his involvement in the re-emergence of queer zine culture. Today, his work can be found in many public collections including the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum in New York, NY.
