This painting is far from a perfect work of art and yet it is striking. On the left, the blue hovers between lake and sky. To the right, a pink road (a bold choice for the amateur artist) leads to an ominous landscape. The choice of lines and tones reference, consciously or not, the unexpected forms and colours found in a Peter Doig. The signature is clumsy (painted over?) as are portions of the long narrow ditch. And yet, all is beautiful.
Painted by Yvette Filion-Richard around 2000. No further information could be found on the artist.
