The large work is painted by artist Clarence Andrew Vandergeest (1939-2014). Vandergeest died in Ormstown, Quebec, at the age of 75. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, he was an internationally recognized artist. His works included sculptures, monoliths and paintings.
