This stunning watercolour is an early work by Toronto-based artist Lila Lewis Irving. Known better for her large abstract works, this painting dates from 1988 when Irving was visiting Buholmen Island near Kragerø, Norway. Irving’s career spans over several decades and her work is found in many public and private collections including a number of important corporate collections in Toronto.
